"Burning the old, Inviting the new"

I was invited to capture the "Burning of the Corpse" ritual hosted by Hearsecon Colorado. During this ritual, an 8ft coffin was set ablaze in a Nordic inspired ritual, symbolizing release, transformation, and sacred renewal. As flames danced beneath the darkening sky, attendees wrote their intentions, surrendering the past to fire and calling in the future with reverence. Through my lens, I sought to honor the intensity, emotion, and sacredness of the moment- to embrace the warmth of the fire, the weight of the ritual, and the hope ignited in the embers.
